Taxis – Uptown is found at the top end of the Queen Street Mall. If travelling in by taxi, you will want to be dropped off on Elizabeth Street just past the Treasury Casino. Furthermore, the nearest taxi rank is located on Albert St, in front of TopShop.

Bus Interchange - the Brisbane City Council bus services pass through the underground bus interchange which has direct lift access into Uptown. QUEEN STREET BUS STATION CLOSURES UPDATE 

From Friday 20 June to late August 2025, Brisbane move will undertake testing and commissioning activities to prepare the new Adelaide Street tunnel for bus and metro operations.  

Therefore, a full closure of the Queen Street bus station will be in place for six consecutive weekends, with all affected bus services temporarily redirected to alternate stops. Signage will be displayed at the bus station, with on-the-ground staff available to assist customers through these changes.  

To help prepare for Brisbane’s New Bus Network, we encourage you, your staff and customers who catch public transport to follow the steps to plan their journey. 

Step 1 – Visit the journey planner at translink.com.au 
Step 2 – Enter your start and end location and select a date from Monday 30 June 
Step 3 – Find your new journey 
Step 4 – From Monday 30 June, travel with confidence on Brisbane’s New Bus Network.
