HeartKids Australia

HeartKids extends our heartfelt thanks to Uptown Brisbane for giving us this wonderful opportunity to share the joy of Christmas through gift wrapping while raising vital funds for children and families impacted by childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD).

HeartKids is the only national not-for-profit solely dedicated to supporting and advocating for people with CoHD—from newborns to teens, adults, and their families. Our purpose is simple yet powerful: to help every person with CoHD have the best possible chance at a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

  • Every day, across Australia, 8 babies are born with a congenital heart defect.
  • CoHD is one of the largest causes of infant death in Australian babies under 1.
  • Four lives are lost every week to CoHD.
  • There is no known cure.
  • Approximately half of the children diagnosed with CoHD require surgery to correct it.
  • There are over 250,000 Australian impacted by CoHD.

We warmly welcome volunteers, supporters, and shoppers to visit our gift-wrapping desk—come say hello, wrap a gift, and make a donation.

Your generosity helps HeartKids continue providing life-changing support to families who need it most this Christmas.
